This Privacy Policy explains how Darkopal Solutions Unipessoal Lda. ("Darkopal Solutions", "I", "me", "my") collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use my website at darkopalsolutions.com and, in particular, when you submit the free sample request form.

I am committed to handling your personal data responsibly and in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Portuguese data protection law.

2. What data I collect

I only collect personal data that you voluntarily provide to me. I do not run any analytics, advertising, or tracking tools on this website, and I do not use tracking cookies.

When you submit the free sample request form, you may provide:

• Your name
• Your email address
• The type of business you run
• Your website URL (if you choose to provide one)
• A short video of yourself (uploaded by you)
• A photo of yourself (uploaded by you)

The video and photo you upload contain your image and likeness. I treat this material with particular care, as described below.

I do not collect any of this information automatically — it is only collected if and when you choose to submit the form.

3. Why I collect it and my legal basis

I collect and process this data for the following purposes:

• To create and send you a free sample of an AI-generated talking-head video clip based on the material you provide.
• To communicate with you about your sample request and any follow-up you ask for.

My legal basis for processing this data is your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box and submitting the form. You provide your video and photo specifically so that I can produce your sample.

You can withdraw your consent at any time (see Section 7). Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing I carried out before you withdrew it.

4. How long I keep your data

I keep the video and photo you upload for a maximum of 30 days from the date of your submission, after which they are deleted. I keep these files only as long as needed to produce and deliver your sample and to handle any immediate follow-up.

I may retain your name and email for a longer period only where necessary to respond to your enquiry or where I am legally required to do so. If you ask me to delete your data, I will do so as described in Section 7.

5. Who has access to your data

Your data is handled by Darkopal Solutions. I do not sell your personal data, and I do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

I use the following service providers to operate the website and process your submission:

• Hostinger — my web hosting provider, where the website and submitted files are stored.
• Bunny.net — a content delivery network used to host and stream my own avatar video clips. (Note: Bunny serves my video content to visitors; your uploaded files are stored on my hosting, not published to Bunny.)
• Google Fonts — used to display the website's typography. When the website loads, your browser may request font files from Google's servers, which can involve your IP address being processed by Google. This is a standard part of how the fonts are delivered.

These providers process data on my behalf or as necessary to deliver the website, and are themselves subject to data protection obligations.

6. Where your data is stored

My hosting and infrastructure are based within the European Union / European Economic Area where possible. Some service providers (such as Google Fonts) may process limited technical data (such as your IP address) outside the EEA. Where data is transferred outside the EEA, it is protected by appropriate safeguards as required under GDPR.

7. Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access — you can ask for a copy of the personal data I hold about you.
• Rectification — you can ask me to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.

This website does not use tracking cookies, analytics, advertising pixels, or any third-party tracking technology. I do not profile visitors or monitor your browsing behaviour.

Any cookies that may be strictly necessary for the basic functioning of the website are limited to that purpose.

9. Security

I take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. Uploaded files are stored in a protected location that is not publicly accessible. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and I cannot guarantee absolute security.
